Angiotensin II (Research only)
Clinical Decription:
Angiotensin II is the physiologically active form of angiotensin a powerful vasopressor and stimulator of aldosterone production and secretion. Angiotensin II is present in the plasma of patients with essential hypertension, but is not found in the plasma of normal subjects.
This test involves extraction prior to the samples assayed by a competitive RIA method.
