Autoimmune Liver Disease Profile
(ALD)

Clinical Decription:
The qualitative detection of IgG autoantibodies to 9 antigens associated with autoimmune liver disease: AMA-M2, M2-3E, Sp100, PML, gp210, LKM-1, LC-1, SLA/LP, and Ro-52 on the Euroblot Master. Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) are characterised by the presence of highly specific antibodies against nuclear, mitochondrial, microsomal and cytoplasmic antigens. This assay measures nine different AIH- and PBC-relevant autoantibodies on one test strip and helps with the diagnosis of overlap syndromes which are characterised by the simultaneous presence of PBC- and AIH-specific autoantibodies.
