Hereditary Endometrial Cancer Panel

Clinical Decription:
A proportion of endometrial cancers are caused by an inherited cancer predisposition. Individuals who have personal and family histories of associated cancers (which includes but is not limited to, endometrial and other gynecological cancers, colorectal cancer, GI cancers) may be eligible for genetic testing. Please consult the Cancer Care Ontario document outlining eligibility for genetic testing for hereditary endometrial cancer (https://www.cancercareontario.ca/en/guidelines-advice/types-of-cancer/70161) and/or contact the lab for additional information. Note: This is a blood test for individuals with clinical and family histories suggestive of an inherited cancer syndrome. It is not a tumour test for somatic gene variants that provide information about diagnostics, prognostics or therapeutics.
