Lymphoid Neoplasia: T-cell Clonality (TCRB, TCRG)

Clinical Decription:
The T-cell receptor (TCR) genes are comprised of numerous discontinuous coding segments that somatically rearrange to produce cell surface TCR during T-cell maturation. Reactive T-cell expansions are polyclonal, with each clone containing few cells and no single clone predominating. In contrast, a malignant process often demonstrates a predominating monoclonal expansion in a T-cell population with identical TCR-gene rearrangements.

Method: PCR
