Laboratory Medicine Program
Large B-Cell Lymphoma: FISH Panel
Clinical Decription:
Large B-Cell Lymphomas have translocations involving the MYC, BCL2 and BCL6 genes. When a MYC translocation is present with a BCL2 and/or BCL6 translocation (e.g. Double Hit or Triple Hit Lymphoma) it indicates a likely more aggressive type of lymphoma. UHN has a reflex FISH panel for Lymphoma testing. The MYC probe is run on all samples, and only those positive for MYC translocation will have BCL2 and BCL6 testing performed.
