Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies

Clinical Decription:
Presence of antibodies directed against an elastinolytic serine protease similar to proteinase 3 (PR3) is highly specific for Wegener granulomatosis. Antibodies directed against myeloperoxidase (MPO) is identified to be associated with idiopathic glomerulonephritis.
