Clinical Decription:
This assay is a multiplex real-time PCR test designed to detect nucleic acid targets associated with the following common enteric bacterial pathogens: 1) Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli (tuf gene variants) 2) Salmonella species (spaO gene) 3) Shigella species and enteroinvasive Escherichia coli (EIEC) (ipaH gene) 4) Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) (stx1 and stx2 genes)
